The SAU17 School Board in Kingston is not renewing the Seacoast Charter School lease and the school needs to move at the end of the year.

The school has found a new location in Stratham at the former Great Bay Contra costa animal shelter College, but organizers need to raise the appropriate funds to move. Seacoast is the oldest Charter School in the New Hampshire and has been open for more than 10 years. The children do not want to lose their school but if the school doesn't raise the appropriate funds, it will have to close our doors at the end of June for good.

Malden Public Schools

School district in Massachusetts, USA

Malden Public Schools is a school district headquartered in Malden, Massachusetts in Greater Boston.

Dana Brown, the principal of Malden High School, stated that one reason why the schools of Malden Public Schools often have test scores higher than those of other urban schools is because immigrant parents and their children, as paraphrased by Maria Sacchetti of the Boston Globe, "appear to be eager to seize the opportunities they are given".[1]

As of 2009, almost 40% of students speak a language other than English in their residences, and 64% of students in the district are racial and ethnic minorities. In 1993, 28% of students were racial and ethnic minorities.[1]
